Happy Halloween

Neither Scott or I are much into Halloween, but after seeing all the kiddos (and teachers!) dressed up at daycare, I can see why this holiday is much more fun with kids. We didn't invest in the baby Halloween costume (though they are darn cute!), but I did make sure Owen celebrated the holiday in style. We took Owen to a couple friends' houses, but then shut our lights off at 7:30, so the doorbell wouldn't wake the baby. Lame? Maybe, but we'll be more into it next year.

We didn't get a costume for Luke either, we just got out one of the boys 2T Superman underoos shirts and one of the capes from the dress up box. Owen looks so cute in his Halloween shirt, though! No costume needed! He is getting such cute little cubby cheeks!

I love watching Owen grow - such a sweetheart and he looks great in his Halloween shirt! I remember one Halloween night, about 26 years ago, when Collin, Tyler and I went trick or treating with a little girl dressed as a witch. It was a cold and damp night but the little witch girl didn't tell any of us her feet were cold. You see, she didn't have on any shoes. She had been so excited to go trick or treating that she had not taken time to put on her shoes. I think of you and that night every Halloween Alissa. While your Mom and I look back and remember, you are looking forward and making memories with Owen.
Hugs to all of you. Love, Susan

Hehe - that is a great memory. I fondly remember the "WHERE ARE YOUR SHOES?!" panic from the two moms. We'll be sure to keep a close eye on Owen's feet once he starts walking.
