Having an awesome, cool, collected, husband/coach, and that feeling of "oh my God if it gets worse than this I can't do it naturally!" But at that point, it's not going to get any worse. Trying to stop yourself from pushing while trying to get your shoes on and get in the car, and then having contractions in the car (the WORST!!). Having the doctor FINALLY break your water. At least you managed to get a wheelchair (the walk to the nurses station never felt so long) and some monitors. However, your labor was this fast and harried because it was FAST. Mine was this way because I was trying to ignore the fact that this baby was actually coming. Now I know better--and got the same advice from the nurses!!

I agree with you--even though Josh was also early and weighed the same as Owen, he's starting life off in his own way, as his own self. I wonder if he will always be this and efficient??

Love him already.Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14926369765496257524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18044374.post-81363103138676402472009-10-29T13:36:57.471-07:002009-10-29T13:36:57.471-07:00I love birth stories also - thanks for sharing bab...I love birth stories also - thanks for sharing baby Joshua's! It sounds very similar to my sister in law, Sarah's. She had her 4th baby the same way you had your 2nd - in a hurry with 2 pushes. You are both amazing women and I am so happy that you and baby are doing well! Great pictures - hope you are getting a little rest and adjusting. I can only imagine what having 2 is like. I feel like I am finally adjusting to live with one!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14695053483098406639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18044374.post-86141205198026961472009-10-29T01:23:59.733-07:002009-10-29T01:23:59.733-07:00Wow what an exciting birth story to read!!!! I am so glad that even though it happened so fast, it all went perfectly well and you were able to rest and relax with your new baby without feeling so exhausted. That does sound like a pretty good way to do it!!! He is beautiful and you look beautiful too! As a non-birther I have to say that all this drama makes me a little uneasy about the birthing process, but nonetheless it is a great story and I can't believe that both of your sons weigh exactly the same weight!! That is really wild and since I'm taking more statistics probably has some very cool statistical value we could assign to it!
love,
jessJessica Fryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12434999625458610531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18044374.post-51709382172013595482009-10-28T18:23:04.460-07:002009-10-28T18:23:04.460-07:00Thank you for sharing this!
